Job summary

CPH, a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm, seeks a Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Sanford/Orlando, FL. You will lead survey projects from proposal through final deliverables, ensuring on-time execution and budget adherence.

Ideal candidates have a Florida PSM/PLS license (GA license a plus), strong PM experience in site development, and hands-on work with MicroStation, GEOPAK, and Civil 3D. Join a collaborative team and drive client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Licensed PSM/PLS in Florida; additional Georgia license a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful history of project management in site development and surveys.
• Experience with MicroStation, GEOPAK and Civil 3D; familiar with DOT Location & Surveys.
• Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Foster and grow client relationships; manage project scope, budget, schedule and QC for survey projects.
• Oversee survey activities to meet performance goals and coordinate with project team.
• Provide detailed instructions to survey support staff and monitor QA/QC.
• Keep current with technology and program updates; perform field calculations and mapping.
• Research and compile project materials prior to start; analyze deeds and research.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget; discuss issues with Supervisor.
• Coordinate with field staff to ensure product quality; manage project staffing and priorities.
• Assist with project estimates as requested.

Education

CPH is a multi-disciplinary Engineering and Architecture firm that ranks in the nation’s Top 500 Design Firms by ENR Magazine. We are looking for Professional Surveyor and Mapper in Sanford or Orlando, FL!

Duties/Responsibilities

As a Professional Surveyor and Mapper you will have the opportunity to:

• Foster and grow client relationships; develop and monitor project scope, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control for survey projects from the proposal stage through final deliverables.
• Provide oversight of survey activities to ensure assignments meet performance goals
• Effectively coordinate and communicate with other project team members and provide detailed instructions to survey support personnel.
• Keeping up with current technology and changes to the programs being used.
• Performing calculations for field crews and mapping as needed.
• Compiling and researching projects as needed prior to starting work.
• Analyzing deeds and research materials for the production of the survey.
• Assuring that all projects stay on schedule and within budget, and discussing any issues/discrepancies with Supervisor if needed.
• Managing office personnel assigned to your projects.
• Coordinating with the field crew supervisor your project needs and working with field staff to assure the desired product from the field.
• Prioritizing projects and their schedules for yourself and staff.
• Coordinating QA/QC scheduling.
• Monitoring each project to ensure that client is satisfied with service and product and that all aspects of the scope have been performed fully and correctly.
• Reviewing timesheets of assigned staff on a daily basis for your assigned projects.
• Coordinating and assisting with project estimates as requested.

Requirements

• Licensed Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) or (PLS) in the State of Florida and/or an additional license in Georgia is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Successful history of project management with, Site Development, and surveys.
• Experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK including Civil 3D or equivalent transportation surveying project management experience and familiarity with DOT Location & Surveys processes and standards.
• Subsurface Utility Engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.
