Job summary

NEAS Inc. is seeking a Professional Surveyor to join our expanding survey department in Columbus, Ohio. The ideal candidate will have an Ohio Professional Surveyor license, 5+ years in surveying, and proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD. Travel as needed is required.

The role involves deed work mapping, base mapping, courthouse research, and delivering ALTA/ACSM surveys, topographic mapping, boundary surveys, GPS work, and construction layout.

Qualifications

• Must hold Ohio Professional Surveyor license.
• Minimum 5+ years in the survey field.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Survey/Engineering or related field.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
• Detail oriented with strong accuracy; ability to travel as needed (usually not overnight).

Responsibilities

• Develop deed work maps and base maps.
• Conduct courthouse research to collect right-of-way information.
• Perform ALTA/ACSM Land Title surveys, topographic mapping, boundary surveys, and GPS surveys.
• Assist in construction layout and project documentation.

National Engineering & Architectural Services Inc. (NEAS Inc.) is searching for a Professional Surveyor who wants to join our expanding survey department. Our ideal candidate would have experience with ODOT projects, Microstation, and AutoCAD.

Founded in 1992 by bridge engineer, Andy Barr, PE, PhD, the company is now doing business as National Engineering & Architectural Services Inc. As a Professional Surveyor for NEAS Inc., you'll demonstrate excellent attention to detail throughout the survey process, developing deed work maps, developing base maps, and conducting courthouse research to collect right of way property information. You'll use your knowledge of ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Topographic Mapping, Courthouse Research, Boundary Surveys, construction layout, and GPS surveys to contribute to the project's success.

Requirements

Experience/Qualifications:

• Ohio Professional Surveyor
• 5+ Years in Survey Field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Survey/Engineering
• MicroStation Experience
• Must be detail oriented
• Willing to travel as needed, typically not involving overnight stays
