Job summary

National Engineering & Architectural Services Inc. is seeking a Survey CADD Tech to join our expanding surveying department. The ideal candidate will have experience with ODOT projects and proficiency in MicroStation/OpenRoads & Geopak, Excel, and survey documentation.

The role primarily involves office work with some field duties, creating and compiling survey drawings, plats, and ROW plans while supporting project goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Understand and perform survey computations and data reduction.
• Compile backup documentation and create Excel spreadsheets.
• Prepare survey drawings including Record of Survey plats, ROW plans, and parcel plats.

Responsibilities

• Office-based survey drafting and data processing with occasional field work.
• Produce accurate, organized documentation and drawings for project files.
• Collaborate with engineers and survey teams to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Founded in 1992 by bridge engineer, Andy Barr, PE, PhD, the company is now doing business as National Engineering & Architectural Services Inc. After more than 25 successful years in business, the recent name change reflects the firm’s transformation from a 2-person bridge design firm in to a multi-faceted organization dedicated to providing excellence in Surveying, Geotechnical Engineering, Materials Testing, and Inspections services to Engineering and Architectural clients. Requirements

The successful candidate will possess the ability to understand and perform survey computations, data reduction, compile backup documentation, create Excel spreadsheets, prepare survey drawings to include Record of Survey plats, Right-of-Way (ROW) plans and parcel plats. Although primarily an office position, a minor amount of field work may be required for this position, depending on project demands.

• 3+ Years’ Experience
• Experience with MicroStation/OpenRods & Geopak a plus
• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Capable of learning and retaining information
• Detail oriented and organized individual
