UPMC Hamot is hiring a Professional Staff Nurse to join the Women's Hospital OR!

Operating Room nurses play a vital role in the surgical team, delivering expert care to ensure patient safety and successful outcomes before, during, and after surgery. They work collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists, maintaining a sterile environment and serving as dedicated advocates for their patients throughout the surgical process.

Shifts: This position is full-time, two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts. Occasional weekend and night shifts required.

Purpose: The Professional Staff Nurse OR is a Registered Nurse who leads and delivers high-quality patient care in the surgical setting. They are accountable for managing care for patients and families using clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration. This role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and maintaining strong relationships with physicians and healthcare providers to ensure optimal outcomes across the care continuum. The nurse also demonstrates a commitment to both the community and the nursing profession.
