UPMC East is hiring a Full-Time Professional Staff Nurse to help support our 3 E Progressive Care Unit! This position is required to working only weekends, from 7 A – 7:30 PM or 7 PM to 7:30 AM!

A perk of this position is that it will be a part of UPMC’s Weekend Program offering flexibility during the weekday. Employees hired into the weekend program receive an additional 25% differential added to their base rate.

Weekend Program Requirements:

This position will work24 hours per week between 7:00 PM Friday - 7:00 AM Monday. Must be able to work 49 of 52 weekends per year.

Sign-On Bonus Details:

$20,000 available for eligible registered nurses with 1+ years of experience.

Your Role:

The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. The Professional Staff Nurse is responsible for setting the standards for the level and quality of care. The Professional Staff Nurse has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of nursing care.

The Professional Staff Nurse manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members.

The Professional Staff Nurse encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision.

The Professional Staff Nurse establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care.
