Are you a dedicated registered nurse looking for an exciting opportunity? UPMC East is hiring a full-time RN to support our Peri Anesthesia department in Monroeville, PA!

Position Details:
  • Location: UPMC East Hospital
  • Department: Peri Anesthesia (Pre-Op and Post-Op areas)
  • Schedule: Option of 3, 12-hour or 4, 10-hour daylight shifts, Monday-Friday
  • Flexibility: Self-scheduling available for weekday shifts
  • On-Call: 3-4 weeknight call shifts and 1 weekend per 6-week schedule

The pay range shown is for the Professional Staff Nurse title (0-2 years of nursing experience). Your title and pay rate will be determined by nursing experience and education.

  • Apply adult learning principles in teaching patients, families, students, and new staff, providing detailed and appropriate education to facilitate care transitions. Support the development of students and new staff, potentially serving as a preceptor. Foster an environment of open dialogue and continuous improvement.
  • Use the nursing process within the framework of Relationship-Based Care to create a healing environment. Formulate daily goals and care plans that involve patients as partners, considering their holistic needs. Demonstrate critical thinking in identifying clinical, social, safety, psychological, and spiritual issues. Communicate effectively to translate patient conditions and collaborate on care plans.
