The Professional Staff Nurse is a Registered Nurse and a member of the care delivery team. They are responsible for setting standards for the level and quality of care, and have the responsibility, authority, and accountability for nursing care. The nurse manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through independent judgment, communication, and collaboration with team members. This role encompasses leadership, partnership, collaboration, and supervision. The nurse establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families to achieve desired patient outcomes across the continuum of care. Additionally, the Professional Staff Nurse demonstrates a commitment to the community and the nursing profession.

• $10,000 sign-on bonus for nurses with over one year of experience
• $7,000 sign-on bonus for Graduate Nurses and nurses with less than one year of experience

Communicates effectively with care providers, articulates patient conditions, and negotiates care changes. Documents patient information comprehensively to promote communication. Incorporates professional, business, and health system goals to improve safety, quality, and satisfaction. Builds caring, compassionate relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
Demonstrates accountability for professional development to enhance practice and patient care quality. Participates in unit-based governance, goal setting, and supports change initiatives. Serves as an engaged team member, responding to care team needs and participating in quality improvement efforts. Uses research and evidence-based practice to support clinical improvements, discusses research opportunities, and influences patient care plans.
