Job Opening: Professional Staff Nurse - Emergency Department (Night Shift)
UPMC Wellsboro is seeking a full-time Professional Staff Nurse for the Emergency Department on the Night shift, from 7p-7a. The role requires working every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with patients, families, colleagues, and management. Demonstrate accountability, enthusiasm, motivation, and cultural sensitivity. Promote work-life balance, safe work hours, and report safety hazards.
- Apply adult learning principles in teaching patients, families, students, and new staff. Provide detailed education to support patient care and transition. Support development of staff and create an environment of open dialogue and continuous improvement.
- Use the nursing process within Relationship Based Care to create a healing environment. Formulate patient goals and care plans involving patients as partners. Demonstrate critical thinking and effective communication. Document comprehensively to promote team communication. Incorporate professional and organizational goals to enhance safety, quality, and satisfaction.
- Take accountability for professional growth and participate in shared governance, quality improvement, and change initiatives. Respond to team needs and support a positive practice environment.
- Engage in quality improvement activities, identify opportunities for enhancement, and utilize evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
