Job Details

Position Overview: The Professional Services Technician provides service and support for Avidity Science products, including preventative maintenance and emergency repairs, adhering to company standards and customer requirements. While each technician may specialize in either service or installation, opportunities to participate in both areas are available.

Job Title: Professional Service Technician I

Location: Atlanta, Georgia - 85% Travel Required

Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Install systems according to customer drawings.
  2. Interpret technical drawings and instructions.
  3. Update and submit as-built drawings post-installation.
  4. Supervise contractors during installation to ensure schedule and budget adherence.
  5. Provide initial customer training on systems.
  6. Communicate daily with project coordinators and managers.
  7. Perform preventative maintenance as per schedule.
  8. Provide warranty, emergency, and support services.
  9. Review installations and initiate system commissioning.
  10. Prepare reports and complete product certifications.
  11. Maintain inventory accuracy.
  12. Follow company procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and industry tools.
  • Understanding of customer needs and technical knowledge.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Quick learner with adaptability.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Customer and contractor interface skills.
  • Technical translation for diverse audiences.
  • Task management within deadlines.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Basic water chemistry knowledge.
  • Manual and digital manual comprehension.
  • Basic networking, plumbing, and electrical skills.

Qualifications: Associate’s degree or equivalent trade experience plus at least three years in servicing electrical or electro-mechanical systems at customer facilities.
