Securitas is hiring a Professional Security Officer to safeguard client sites in Valley Park, MO. This full-time, on-site position involves monitoring access, patrolling locations, and handling incidents with professionalism. You will interact with employees and guests, follow post orders, and use security tech.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently. A valid driver’s license is preferred.

Job description

Professional Security Officers - Full Time

Primary Location: Valley Park, MO

Wage: $19.75/HR

Available Shift: 3PM - 11PM

OurProfessional Security Officers help maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including access control and patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for our client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.

What You Can Expect

• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Frequent interactions with client employees and guests.
• Identify and report safety issues, hazardous conditions, or any suspicious activity.
• Ensure that all post orders are followed and assigned rounds are completed.
• Provide customer service and information to the client’s employees and guests.
• Utilizing technology devices throughout shift.
• Conduct tours of the property and meeting check points.
• Guard shack access control duties.
• Camera monitoring.
• Carry out specific tasks and duties of similar nature and scope as required for assigned site.

Basic Requirements

• 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• Valid Drivers License required.
• Open availability preferred.
• Must be alert and observant.
• Must have a strong professional appearance.
