Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring Flex Security Officers to support multiple locations, with shifts available across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in the Houston area. Officers start at $15 per hour, with higher starting pay at $18/hour for FLEX OFFICERS.

This is an on-site position requiring availability, reliability, and professional conduct. Ideal candidates are 18+, possess a security license, and have at least one year of customer service and security experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be available for on-call roles.
• Flexible in supporting shifts.
• Mornings, Mid-day, overnight, and weekend availability required.
• Locations in NORTH HOUSTON require 2 shifts, 4–5 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Rover: patrols to detect suspicious activity and prevent vandalism or theft.
• Gatehouse: greet drivers/guests, check IDs, log visitors, control access.
• Front Desk: assist guests, customer service, access control, monitor CCTV, deliver packages.
• Device Check: verify device IMEI matches documentation.
• North Dock: monitor dump areas, manage dock doors, track outbound trucks.

FLEX OFFICERS- $15.00 HR

Responsibilities

Available for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd SHIFTS. ONLY CANDIDATES WITHIN 10 TO 15 MILE RADUIS WILL BE CONSIDERED. Positions starting at $18.00 / hour for FLEX OFFICERS

• Rover: Foot or vehicle patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, etc.
• Gatehouse: Greet truck drivers and guests with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons to the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting residents and guests with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
• Device Check: Scanning tag on the back of approved employee devices, reading persons IMEI on phone making sure it matches the sticker or paperwork provided for the approved device.
• North Dock: Monitoring trash dump for theft attempts, opening and closing dock doors, tracking outbound trucks, counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring open dock doors as they are being loaded. monitoring special projects during peak season
• South Dock: Counting pallets for inbound trucks, monitoring special projects during peak season, sending and receiving emails, typing truck information, and monitoring open dock doors. open and close dock doors
• Metal Detector: Checking devices in and out; only approved devices with a sticker or approved paperwork are allowed. Making sure visitors clear through the x-ray. Watching the X‑Ray machine, making sure everyone clears through the X‑Ray. Making sure no prohibited items enter the building.
• Tracker: Keeps track of all high value loads via computer software.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Must be available to on call roles.
• Flexible in supporting shifts available.
• Mornings, Mid-day, overnight, and weekend availability required.
• Available for 2 shifts, 4-5 days a week required for locations in NORTH HOUSTON
• High school degree or equivalent
• Non-Commissioned Security License required
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• This position will require occasional crawling, crouching, climbing of stairs, kneeling, running, sitting, standing, stooping and walking for extended periods of time

Preferred Qualifications

• Client facing, professional demeanor for Class A buildings.
