Securitas, Inc. is hiring a Professional Security Officer in Crystal Lake, IL. This full-time role offers hourly compensation of $21.00 and requires flexibility for 1st & 2nd shifts with weekend availability.

You’ll maintain a secure environment, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with policies while providing excellent service. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, and prior security or related experience.

What Your Day May Look Like

• Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
• Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
• Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.
• Protect sensitive information and intellectual property from unauthorized access.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation.
• Perform access control at security entrances / exits.
• Conduct regular patrols of premises including buildings, parking lots, & entry points to identify potential security risks.
• Monitor and operate surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and security equipment.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed.
• Prior Security, Law Enforcement or Military experience required.
• Must be able to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
• Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgement and use appropriate escalation.
• Must have strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
