GuidePoint Security: Professional Services Sales Operations Specialist

GuidePoint Security provides trusted cybersecurity expertise, solutions, and services that help organizations make better decisions and minimize risk. By taking a three-tiered, holistic approach to evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables top organizations such as Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies to identify threats, optimize resources, and implement solutions that mitigate risk.

The Professional Services Sales Operations Specialist (PSOS) plays a crucial role in supporting Regional Service activities and Engineering. The PSOS supports presales and delivery efforts by managing new opportunity intake, presales scoping processes—including proposal submission, hours and template scoping, system management, and proposal QA. Key interactions include daily communication with service practice leads, account executives, and technical leaders across the North Central region. The specialist also manages Salesforce.com service opportunities and communicates with customers and vendors to maintain and grow regional business. The PSOS must stay informed about all service opportunities within their region, managing tools like IRA and Salesforce.com to ensure accurate forecasting reports.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Use internal tools to generate service quotes, scope and track opportunities, and manage opportunity closure.
  • Respond promptly to inquiries from internal teams and clients regarding professional services.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for the presales service lifecycle.
  • Coordinate daily with technical leaders, practice delivery leads, and sales support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Manage multiple streams of work efficiently and in an organized manner.
  • Act as a liaison between customers, vendors, and GuidePoint sales and service teams.
  • Document and update processes and procedures for presales workflows.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers.
  • Participate in regional and national forecast calls, perform pipeline analysis for forecast accuracy.
  • Coordinate with service leaders, contracts, proposal departments, and vendors to process and track opportunities.
  • Analyze information and support decision-making that benefits GuidePoint Security.
Experience and Education:
  • Associate Degree or equivalent; a four-year degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of information systems concepts required; experience in cybersecurity operations, services, or proposal writing is strongly desired.
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience in technical sales, professional services, consulting, or technical writing is preferred.
  • Proficiency with task management/Kanban tools and CRM software such as Jira and Salesforce.com.
  • Strong multitasking skills, quick understanding of processes, and a positive attitude are essential.
