Qualifications

• Valid Class B or higher CDL with air brakes endorsement.
• Two years of prior experience driving heavy commercial trucks.
• Excellent reading and writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle.
• Safely operate truck along designated route and service each customer.
• Operate controls to lift and load refuse, run the compactor, and dispose of material.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers and others daily.
• Identify unsatisfactory waste containers and tag containers.
• Monitor waste for unacceptable material and clean spills per safety standards.
• Monitor vehicle condition to minimize downtime and clean packer blade/truck body.
• Complete route/productivity sheets and Vehicle Condition Reports.
• Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service.
• Provide excellent customer service; act professionally and honestly.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks safely.
• Follow through on schedule and challenges.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
• Maintain pride in work and strive to meet goals.
• Follow safety policies; perform additional duties as assigned.
