Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for customers' pets. You will perform bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nail and ear cleaning with attention to safety and quality. The role offers a dynamic, pet-friendly work environment with room for growth.

The position requires grooming expertise, exceptional customer service, and the ability to work weekends and holidays as needed, all within Petco’s standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous professional grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, styling, trimming, ear and gland cleaning).
• Operate grooming tools (clippers, blades, brushes, dryers) and maintain equipment.
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being and report concerns to owners/store management.
• Educate pet parents with home care recommendations and grooming tips.
• Maintain clean, safe grooming area and follow hygiene policies.
• Train/supervise entry-level trainees in absence of Grooming Salon Leader.
