Alexandria Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Pet Groomer to join our veterinary support team. Work in a dedicated, state-of-the-art grooming facility with autonomy to manage services and build client relationships alongside a supportive veterinary team.

The ideal candidate has grooming experience across breeds, strong customer service skills, and the option for full- or part-time hours with a commission-based compensation model.

Qualificações

• Professional pet grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
• Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
• Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments, including large breed dogs
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Grooming certification is a plus
• Portfolio and references required

Responsabilidades

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
• Evaluate each pet’s coat and skin conditionand communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
• Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
• Safely handle pets ofvarious sizesand temperaments during grooming procedures
• Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift

Professional Pet Groomer - Commission Based Compensation

Alexandria Veterinary Clinicis excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression

Schedule and compensation:

• Compensation for this role is based on 50% commission on grooming services, or $11.41 per hour worked, whichever is greater.
• Schedule is flexible, full or part-time availability needed Monday-Friday.

Pay Range

$11.41 - $11.41 USD
