Job summary

Weill Cornell Medicine in New York's Upper East Side seeks a Painter to join the Paint Shop. Under direct supervision, you will maintain, repair and finish architectural surfaces across campus facilities, painting interiors and exteriors as needed.

This non-exempt, 35-hour workweek includes weekdays and some weekends; prior painting, plastering and masonry experience preferred; a high school diploma is required; a New York driver license is needed if the role uses a WCM vehicle.

• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Provides stakeholders with status updates, issues, key activities and scope changes.
• Documents and provides updates on work performed.
• Develops scope of work for projects and obtains material pricing.
• Paints interior and exterior surfaces of the facility; installs and repairs wallpaper coverings.
• Patches plaster, sheetrock, masonry, metal and wood surfaces.
• Inspects finished areas and recommends colors and finishes.
