Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Waco, TX is seeking a delivery driver to transport products from our store to customers using box and flat-bed trucks. You will ensure orders are correct, loaded safely, and delivered on schedule while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications include a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and requirement to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
• Must have a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) from FMCSA or be willing to obtain one within five business days of conditional offer.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Must read/speak English sufficiently to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure deliveries meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
• Deliver items to customers in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain the store vehicle and report maintenance needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and handle inquiries/complaints.
• Adhere to assigned routes and schedules.
• Follow transportation laws and maintain a safe driving record.
• Prepare reports and other delivery documents.
• Operate equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Assist in store duties including tinting and mixing customer orders.
