Kaufman Dolowich LLP is seeking an attorney to join its growing litigation practice in Hackensack, NJ. The ideal candidate will handle sophisticated professional liability matters, manage matters through all phases of litigation, and work closely with a collaborative team representing a diverse range of professionals and businesses.

Competenze

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
• Admission to practice in New Jersey required; New York admission is a plus.
• Experience handling matters in state and federal court.
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage an active caseload and prioritize deadlines.
• Experience in professional liability, legal malpractice, insurance defense, or complex commercial litigation is preferred.

• Independently manage all phases of professional liability litigation from inception through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation filings.
• Conduct and defend depositions.

The Hackensack, New Jersey office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing litigation practice.

The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing matters through all phases of litigation. This position offers the opportunity to handle sophisticated professional liability matters and work closely with a collaborative team representing a diverse range of professionals and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage all phases of professional liability litigation from inception through resolution
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation-related filings
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Attend and advocate at court appearances, mediations, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and other proceedings
• Develop and execute litigation strategies while maintaining strong client relationships
• Handle matters involving professional negligence, malpractice, errors and omissions claims, and other complex liability disputes
• Manage discovery, motion practice, expert witness coordination, and case deadlines in both state and federal courts
• Collaborate with partners and clients to provide strategic guidance and achieve favorable outcomes

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience

• Demonstrated experience drafting and arguing motions, conducting depositions, and representing clients in mediations and arbitrations
• Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills

Base Salary Range:

$135,000-$170,000

Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer. Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job‑related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours‑based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full‑time employees.
