Veenstra & Kimm, Inc., A Kleinfelder Company seeks a full-time Licensed Surveyor to join our team in Rock Island, Springfield, or Bolingbrook (IL). The ideal candidate will have strong communication and leadership skills to support clients and staff.

Office-based duties include mapping, deed research, and field support, using AutoCAD for base maps and boundary work. Qualified candidates hold an Illinois survey license (or are eligible to obtain within 12 months) and have 5+ years of surveying

Qualifications

• 5+ years of surveying experience.
• Illinois survey license or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Use surveying measurements to determine property lines and boundaries.
• Research titles, survey records and land records for property information.
• Record accurate property lines and plots with local land use authorities.
• Create base mapping using AutoCAD software.
• Perform routine calculations such as transverse and lot closures.
• Represent the Firm professionally to clients, contractors, and the public.
• Conduct boundary calculations, analysis, and field support calculations.
• Research title reports, ROW/E, Land Title Surveys, topography and mapping.
• Prepare easements, plats and surveys.
• Ensure project legal documents are completed and signed.

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time LICENSED SURVEYOR to join our team in either Rock Island, Springfield, or Bolingbrook. We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills to assist our current staff in serving our clients. Our preferred location would be in our Springfield, Illinois office but we will consider strong candidates in our Rock Island, Illinois or Bolingbrook Illinois offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Use measurements of surveying equipment to determine property lines and boundaries.
• Research additional information about a property though titles, survey records and land records.
• Record accurate property lines and plots with the local land use authorities.
• Perform office work, such as deed research, and create base mapping utilizing AutoCAD software.
