Job summary

Spectrum Environmental Services, Inc. is a multifaceted firm with offices in Alabama and Tennessee, seeking a motivated geologist to join a team of environmental professionals.

The role requires a BS in Geology, 5+ years in environmental field, PG certification preferred, and experience with Phase I/II ESAs, soil and groundwater sampling, and geologic evaluations. The position involves project leadership and travel to the Nashville area and Alabaster.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Geology is required.
• 5+ years of environmental field experience.
• Professional Geologist (P.G.) certification preferred.
• Experience with Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments.
• Willingness to travel within the Nashville area and to the Alabaster office.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check required.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate should be a great communicator in all aspects and possess characteristics of a servant leader. Though we expect the chosen candidate to further define, develop, and lead in their role, we provide the following as a framework of what will be expected of this individual:

• A Bachelor of Science degree in Geology
• 5+ years’ experience in the environmental field
• Professional Geologist (P.G.) certification preferred

• Assessment staff training and development
• Task/Project management and coordination
• Be willing to take on other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

This position will require an Alabama license as well as Tennessee. Some travel around the Nashville area as well as to the Alabaster office for training and meetings.
