Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Professional Fee Surgical Coding Auditor to join a physician revenue cycle team. You will audit professional fee coding for accuracy and compliance, and educate staff on coding best practices. Extensive surgical coding experience in Neurosurgery, Cardiology, or OB/GYN is preferred.

Independence and productivity are valued in this role. The ideal candidate maintains CPC/CCS credentials and handles 4–6 encounters per hour with strong CPT/ICD-10 knowledge.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of Professional Fee (ProFee) medical coding experience with surgical focus.
• Current CPC or CCS certification in good standing.
• Proven ability to maintain productivity standards of 4-6 encounters per hour while ensuring accuracy.

Job Description

A large health system is seeking an experienced Professional Fee Surgical Coding Auditor to join its physician revenue cycle team. This individual will be responsible for auditing professional fee coding, ensuring coding accuracy and compliance, and providing education and feedback to coding staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive surgical coding experience and expertise in at least one of the following specialty areas: Neurosurgery, Cardiology, or OB/GYN.- and have worked on the other two specialties.

This role is best suited for a highly motivated, independent professional who can work with minimal oversight, manage productivity expectations.

Most live in one of these following states to hire on full time:

Texas, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina

Skills and Requirements

3-5+ years of Professional Fee (ProFee) medical coding experience, with deep expertise in Neurosurgery (strongly preferred), Cardiology, or OB/GYN.Current CPC or CCS certification in good standing.Proven ability to maintain productivity standards of 4-6 encounters per hour, while ensuring coding accuracy and compliance.Strong understanding of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, and surgical coding guidelines.Ability to successfully complete and pass a specialty-specific coding assessment.Experience auditing coding quality and providing coder education is highly preferred.
