Professional Engineer – Land Development

Responsibilities
  • Act as Engineer of Record for design, permitting and construction administration of projects.
  • Prepare accurate presentations, design details and construction documents.
  • Oversee project design team including engineers, designers, consultants and clients.
  • Collaborate with firm engineers, architects, disciplines, project managers and business development teams.
  • Research, interpret and implement relevant codes and client requirements.
  • Develop, implement and utilize CPH and client standards and templates.
  • Prepare specifications, review shop drawings and provide construction administration support as Engineer of Record.
  • Travel periodically for business development, project management, site investigations and construction observation, including preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
  • Assist with compiling construction plans from all disciplines and submitting to agencies having jurisdiction.
  • Mentor project Engineers, Designers and Technicians.
  • Review documents prepared by others and implement project quality control.
Requirements
  • B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida; additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus.
  • 5+ years of U.S. experience in design and permitting public or private projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Thorough understanding of the project process from concept through construction.
  • Ability to exercise good independent judgment in evaluating and determining design solutions.
  • Experience with stormwater management, water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system design.
  • Effective instruction, teaching and mentoring skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Superior social, communication, written and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi‑task across multiple projects while meeting schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail‑oriented, quality‑conscious, reliable and self‑motivated.
  • Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Up to 25% travel.
