Education / Licenses:
Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer License in the State of Florida
Experience:
Minimum 4 years in new construction design and/or analysis of residential and commercial structures
Required Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication
Ability to perform calculations for design and analysis of residential and commercial projects
Ability to read construction documents
Working knowledge of structural materials and design:
Masonry design
Ability to climb ladders, crawl in attics and crawlspaces, and walk on roofs
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Understanding of AutoCAD
Building code analysis and interpretation
Organizational skills
General Duties:
Assemble structural drawings, repair drawings, and specifications for permitting / construction
Perform analysis of existing structures and design of new construction
Manage and lead others to complete Client projects
Responsible for development of Client relationships
Assist with new Client prospects / proposals
Review project submittals and shop drawings
Scheduling of jobs
Must be able to attend meetings and make jobsite visits
Customer relations
Maintain project files and databases
Inspections, including but not limited to roofs, crawlspaces, and attics
