Professional Civil Engineer

Job Description
- Design and production of construction and permit drawings for land development projects including roadway, sewer, water, storm drainage, and site grading plans.
- Prepare engineering reports for approval from governing bodies including cities, towns, counties and Montana Department of Environmental Quality.
- Perform quantity calculations.
- Prepare specifications and contract documents.
Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of engineering tasks and assists project managers in the management and execution of projects.
- Plans, schedules, conducts, or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work in part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.
- Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices but may include a variety of complex features.
- Directs and/or designs plans, computes and prepares engineering documents, including details, schedules, cost estimates for projects, selection and application of engineering design and materials in accordance with the latest governing codes.
- Assists in project administrative functions such as tracking project budgets, invoicing and preparing project reports.
- Works closely with Project Manager on many aspects of projects.
- Works as an Assistant Project Manager.
- May provide construction observation.
- May participate in public involvement.
- May assist with or develop project scope of work or portions of it.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, 2-5 years of experience and Professional Engineer Certification.
- Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with employees, managers, internal and external clients.
- Positive attitude and professional bearing.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- High level of personal responsibility and accountability.
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally.
- Must be service oriented and be excited to work in a team environment.
- Ability to work under and respond to stressful situations.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
