Associate Civil Engineer

Job Description
The role involves designing and producing construction and permit drawings for land development projects, preparing engineering reports for government approval, performing quantity calculations, and preparing specifications and contract documents.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of engineering tasks and assist project managers in the management and execution of projects.
- Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed phases of engineering work as part of a major project or a moderate‑scope project.
- Perform work that involves conventional engineering practices, including complex features.
- Direct and/or design plans, calculate and prepare engineering documents, including details, schedules, cost estimates, and apply engineering design and materials according to the latest governing codes.
- Assist in project administrative functions such as tracking project budgets, invoicing and preparing project reports.
- Work closely with the Project Manager on many aspects of projects.
- Work as an Assistant Project Manager.
- Provide construction observation.
- Participate in public involvement.
- Assist with or develop the project scope of work or portions of it.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, 2-5 years of experience, and Engineer Intern Certification.
- Interpersonal skills to interface effectively with employees, managers, internal and external clients.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- High level of personal responsibility and accountability.
- Strong organizational skills and aptitude for detail.
- Demonstrated ability to learn new tasks and develop personally and professionally.
- Service oriented and excited to work in a team environment.
