Summary:

Lightserve Electrical Power Solutions (EPS), a division of Lightserve Corporation, specializes in lighting systems, electrical distribution, and standby power projects. We seek a highly skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineering license to oversee electrical project engineering and design. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of electrical distribution equipment, and robust project management skills. This role requires proactive problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, ensuring timely and within-scope project completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Coordinate with estimating team for proposal evaluations, prepare proposal drawings, and define scopes of work.
2. Develop and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and specifications, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
3. Coordinate with external stakeholders such as customers, vendors, AHJs, and others to ensure proper scope of work.
4. Collaborate with internal teams like estimators, project managers, and procurement to support construction activities.
5. Design electrical systems, perform calculations, and review, sign, and seal projects.
6. Participate in peer reviews within the division.
7. Travel as needed to meet with vendors, customers, and review project sites.
8. Identify potential risks early and develop mitigation strategies.
9. Ensure safety regulations and industry standards compliance during construction.
10. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education and Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Valid Professional Engineering license.

Required Experience and Skills:

• At least 7 years of electrical engineering experience in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage projects effectively within time and resource constraints.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of system requirements, local codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE).
• Experience with UL 891 Switchboards and UL 1008 Transfer Switches.
• Experience coordinating utility requirements.
• Understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations.
• Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight stays.

Additional Qualifications:

• NCEES record for additional licenses.
• Experience with microgrid systems.
• Experience with utility interconnection processes.
• Proficiency in SKM or similar systems for system coordination.
