Job summary

CMR Surgical in the US is seeking a Professional Education Trainer to lead Versius system training for internal staff and channel partners, onboard users, and ensure safe, competent setup and operation of the robotic system.

You will design, develop, and coordinate training programs with cross-functional teams, deliver both online and in-person sessions, and continuously improve courses based on feedback and customer needs; some travel across the US will be required.

Qualifications

• Experience in designing and delivering training programs.
• Background as healthcare professional or industry rep in an operating room environment.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with clinicians, engineers and partners.
• Comfort with highly technical material and simplifying complex content.
• Experience delivering training on surgical robotics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Deliver UniVersius internal training online and in-person sessions, certifying and recertifying participants.
• Design and deliver all elements of the Versius training pathway (e-learning, VR training, supervised practice, proctors).
• Manage regional training centers and coordinate training events with stakeholders.
• Identify and close training gaps in regions; implement refresher programs.
• Assess training quality, gather feedback, and drive improvements.
• Support usability studies and training for formative and summative studies in the US.

About the Role

As Professional Education Trainer in the USA Professional Education team, you will be primarily responsible for the delivery of Versius system training sessions to internal personnel and channel partners as they onboard to use the Versius Surgical System. You will also deliver training to surgical teams, helping to ensure the competent setup and operation of the Versius robotic system. You will be an integral part of the US Professional Education team and will work with other team members in the design, development, and coordination of best-in-class training programs. You will develop and be involved in Professional Education project work, alongside supporting other internal teams in collaborative projects. You will actively contribute to the development and improvement of courses based on customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver the UniVersius Internal Training Programme, delivering both online and in-person training sessions, certifying and recertifying individuals partaking in the Internal training programme.
• Support the design and delivery of all elements of the Versius training pathway including e-learning, Virtual Reality training programmes, Versius supervised practical training, proctors, and telepresence alongside the Global Professional Education Curriculum team.
• Support the management of regional training centres in their management of the Versius systems, preparing for the training, delivering customer and proctor training and following up after the events with all the relevant stakeholders.
• Support and guide regions where they have identified local customer-facing team training gaps and plan refresher or targeted training where required.
• Be a part of the USA Professional Education team assessing the training programme - reviewing feedback, attending trainings to assess quality assurance, and implementing improvements and coaching if needed.
• Support training delivery for formative and summative usability studies in the US.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to have/be:

• Previous education in training programs design and delivery
• Previous experience working either as an industry representative or healthcare professional in an operating room environment.
• Knowledge of surgical environment, terminology, common surgical procedures, ideally minimally invasive procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written presentation skills including a clear and concise writing andpresentation style, particularly when describing technical content.
• Be strong team player, able to effectively operate as part of a cross-functional team, andsuccessfully interact and build strong relationships with clinicians, engineers, medicalprofessionals, and business partners and other opinion leaders.
• Comfortable working with highly technical material, and strong ability to present the complex in clear, simple terms.
• Ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and use MS Office applications.
• Experience of delivering training on surgical robotic platform.

Requires the ability to travel within the United States as dictated by tasking and maintain flexibility in working hours to accommodate occasional weekend training events.
