Job summary

Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation seeks a dedicated transportation driver to move clients, visitors and staff between Hazelden locations and external sites with safety and efficiency. The role includes routine vehicle maintenance, documentation, and providing emergency response when needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, a current valid driver’s license, CPR/BLS certification, and adherence to driver qualification criteria.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Current valid driver's license in good standing.
• Continually meet Hazelden Betty Ford's driver qualification criteria.
• Current CPR or BLS certification or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Certification must be from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Responsibilities

• Provide clients, visitors, professionals and staff transportation to and from Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation locations.
• Provide scheduled, non-scheduled, and emergency transportation to patients, clients, staff, workshop participants and visitors to and from various locations as needed.
• Maintain department written documentation following defined procedures.
• Provide maintenance of transportation vehicles, wash bay, and garage.
• Assess situations to assure safe transport of clients.
• Determine suitability of transporting a client and whether to activate emergency medical response systems.
• Report unusual behaviors or concerns to appropriate departments.
• Represent Hazelden in a professional manner at all times.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Current valid driver's license in good standing

Current CPR or BLS certification

Certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
