Base pay range

$65,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr

Summary

The Professional Development Coordinator supports the team of Professional Development with the day-to-day operations of attorney professional development, including but not limited to coordinating continuing legal education (CLE) programs and compliance, firm-wide training and development initiatives, mentorship programs, and the attorney performance evaluation process.

This role offers a hybrid work environment. It is an essential function that the employee be available to attend in-person meetings or to come to the office for other reasons when the need arises. This position requires the individual to reside in California and will have a designation to one of Hanson Bridgett's five office locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and administer all continuing legal education (CLE) paperwork for both internal and external programming.
  • Track and maintain CLE compliance for all California attorneys in the learning management system (LMS).
  • Compile and distribute review materials while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Schedule and coordinate regular PD meetings, including onboarding meetings for new attorneys; PD meetings with Section Leaders and Practice Group Leaders; other department meetings and events as needed.
  • Collaborate with the data analytics team to compile and analyze confidential reports on attorney performance and utilization.
  • Respond to inquiries related to attorney performance metrics and workload.
  • Maintain key departmental documents such as policies, rosters, intranet content, presentations, and reports.
  • Conduct market research and prepare reports in multiple formats (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Partner with other firm departments, including IT, Recruiting, Marketing, and HR, to support cross-functional initiatives.
  • Work closely with Recruiting, DEI, and HR teams on initiatives that promote a diverse, inclusive, and engaged workplace.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education, training, and/or relevant experience supporting program execution in a professional setting.
  • Detail-oriented with strong technical capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • High level of discretion and judgment in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating continuing legal education (CLE) programs
  • Experience with a learning management system (LMS) or CLE tracking database such as viDesktop

Hanson Bridgett offers a competitive salary and benefits package. The annual salary for this California-based role is anticipated to be in the range of $65,000 to $85,000 and represents the firm’s good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation is negotiable and will depend upon several factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s years of experience, qualifications, and skill set.
