Job summary

Sherwin-Williams is seeking a delivery driver based in Williamsburg, VA. You will deliver products from store #705169, load orders, and ensure safe, timely deliveries while maintaining vehicles and providing excellent customer service.

The role requires lifting up to 70 lbs, a valid driver’s license, MEC eligibility, and flexibility to work evenings/weekends. Prior delivery or paint sales experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must have a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or be willing to obtain one within five business days of conditional offer.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Must read and speak English sufficiently for customer interactions and forms.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have a meets expectations rating.
• Must complete HR Cloud eLearning courses required for current position.
• Have a High School diploma or GED.
• Have at least 1 year of experience as a delivery driver.
• Have at least 1 year of experience with material handling equipment.
• Previous experience selling paint/paint-related products is a plus.
• Ability to read/write English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare deliveries to meet customer requirements efficiently.
• Load customer orders properly on the truck.
• Ensure appropriate forms are completed.
• Load, transport, and deliver items safely and on time.
• Maintain the store vehicle and report repair needs.
• Provide excellent customer service and address questions/complaints.
• Follow assigned routes and schedules.
• Comply with transportation laws and maintain a clean driving record.
• Prepare delivery reports and related documents.
• Operate vehicles and equipment such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc.
• Assist with warehouse duties, tinting, and mixing customer orders.
