Qualifications

• 5 years of outpatient coding experience with CCS or RHIT/RHIA required.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

1. Develop and maintain all corporate outpatient coding education, training policies, procedures, and reference materials.
2. Lead training sessions and assess coder comprehension. Make recommendations for developing coding resources and policies.
3. Assist leadership with training and developing performance improvement tracks for coding coworkers, related to quality or productivity. Coordinate with Coding Auditors to prepare educational materials based on audit results.
4. Develop and maintain a consistent coding operations orientation program and report progress to leadership throughout training.
5. Maintain expert knowledge of Franciscan Alliance coding software tools. Assist with workflow development and oversee system testing for updates or changes.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree - Required
• Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
• 5 years of outpatient coding experience with CCS - Required OR 5 years outpatient coding experience with RHIT/RHIA - Required
• 3 years of experience as Coding Manager, Trainer, or Auditor - Preferred
