Qualifications

• Two years boom and/or crane operation experience or equivalent.
• Requires Boom or Crane Operator certification.

Responsibilities

• Operates boom including rigging, planning, and hoisting heavy materials.
• Moves material into specific areas or hoists onto delivery trucks.
• Performs pre-operational inspection and maintenance of boom/crane.
• Calculates boom/crane capacities and weights to ensure safety.

Skills

Knowledge of and ability to use hand and power tools

Basic math and measurement skills

Good verbal and written communication skills

Ability to read and understand machine diagrams

Ability to apply common sense understanding

Education

High school diploma or GED

Tools

Boom/Crane Operator certification
