Job summary

Anderson Center for Autism in the Hudson Valley is seeking a Professional Assistant to provide confidential administrative support to Adult Services leadership, manage records, and help keep operations running smoothly across residential and day habilitation programs.

You will help prepare reports, maintain databases, assist with forms and templates, and travel between program locations as needed to support coordination and compliance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of related office or administrative experience required.
  • Typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Access or similar database applications preferred.
  • Strong organizational, administrative, and recordkeeping abilities.
  • Ability to travel between program locations and the Anderson campus as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential administrative and clerical support to Adult Services leadership while assisting with day-to-day operational needs of residential and day habilitation programs.
  • Maintain, distribute, organize, and monitor important program records, reports, and databases to support operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with preparation, tracking, and distribution of clinical and program-related reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain injury reporting records and databases, support reporting requirements, and communicate with Health Services as appropriate.
  • Prepare recurring reports, summaries, and documentation to assist leadership in monitoring operations and outcomes.
  • Update and maintain agency databases and electronic record systems to keep information current.
  • Assist with development, updating, and distribution of forms, templates, checklists, and administrative documents used across programs.
  • Provide administrative support to multiple program locations and may travel between sites as necessary to meet operational needs.
  • Collaborate with leadership, program staff, and internal departments to support communication, coordination, and effective program operations.
  • Help ensure records, reports, and processes are completed accurately, professionally, and in line with agency expectations.
  • Contribute to an organized, responsive environment that enables program teams to deliver high-quality services.

As a Professional Assistant, you'll serve as an important administrative resource for Anderson Center for Autism's Adult Services team. Working closely with leadership and program staff, you will help coordinate essential administrative processes, maintain important records, support reporting functions, and assist in ensuring the efficient operation of Adult Services programs. What You Will Do as a Professional Assistant
