Overview:
The Manager of Professional Advocacy will play a key role in expanding the strategic U.S. healthcare provider (HCP) thought leadership strategy to support Sight Sciences' commercialization strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage advisory boards in alignment with functional objectives
- Spend approximately 15% of the year in the operating room and clinics with HCPs to learn and build relationships
- Engage HCP consultants to help develop and implement strategies that thwart competition and increase positive portfolio noise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on content development for national symposia and tradeshows
- Plan and coordinate promotional activities at major medical conferences and symposia
- Develop training and communication plans for HCP consultant management
- Implement a comprehensive metrics plan including HCP interactions, development, and activities
- Serve as liaison between VP and HCP consultants at major societal meetings
- Attend industry conventions, trade shows, and scientific meetings to gather customer and market insights
- Manage current HCP consultant contracts, compliance, and program scheduling, including verification with sales and marketing activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences, or equivalent; MBA or master's preferred
- 8-10 years of experience in the medical device industry; sales, marketing, or project management experience preferred
- Experience in budget and contract management for HCP consulting
- Ability to build and manage relationships with physicians, distributors, and investigators
- Collaborate with marketing, commercial, and clinical teams on HCP strategies
- Knowledge of competitive technologies and industry developments
- Professional image and relationship-building skills
- Ability to promote team culture and morale
- Understanding of ethics, compliance, and regulatory guidelines in the industry
- Strong project and time management skills
- Willingness to travel 20-40% overnight
