Job summary

Washington Park United Methodist Church Preschool is seeking a playful and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher for children aged 1-5. The role focuses on nurturing development and building foundational skills in a supportive team environment.

You will engage children through age-appropriate activities, support social and emotional growth, and communicate regularly with families. The position offers a flexible schedule and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2 years of Early Childhood Education experience are required.
• 2 years of Childcare experience are required.
• Driver's License is required; PDIS Level II Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet the individual needs of the children and support development.
• Interact with children to support play, exploration, and learning.
• Present age-appropriate expectations and developmental goals.
• Plan and implement activities to build self-esteem and social skills.
• Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff.
• Foster teamwork among the teaching team.

Preschool Lead Teacher (Children aged 1-5)

At WPUMC Preschool, children are encouraged to develop at their own pace in a nurturing environment supported by a team of dedicated teachers. The program enhances children's emotional, social, intellectual and physical development and provides the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Teacher daily duties include:

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

• Day shift (School Day is from 9:15am-2:45pm)
• Before and After Care shifts available (8:00am-9:15am and 2:45pm-4:00pm)
• Monday to Friday
