Job Description:

Mindseeker is a leading healthcare professional services company focused on delivering HIM and Revenue Cycle Services, including outsourced medical coding, quality and compliance auditing, CDI, consulting, contracted interim management, and HIT staffing to health systems, hospitals, physician groups, and clinics nationwide. Mindseeker supports complex initiatives that demand extraordinary combinations of project management, technical competence, and industry expertise.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 3 years recent OP coding experience with 2 years current production coding in multiple specialties, including Pulmonary and Cardiology. Specialties are subject to change based on volume and client need; this excludes HCC and billing experience.
  2. Experience must include assignment of Evaluation and Management (E/M) leveling for professional services, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, and Units of Service.
  3. Experience with auditing profee.
  4. Experience with providing profee education to physicians is preferred.
  5. Code and maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate in each of the following areas:
    1. ICD-10-CM
    2. E&M (modifier utilization will impact accuracy rate)
    3. CPT (modifier and unit of service utilization will impact accuracy rate)
    4. Audits when client requests.
  6. Knowledge of medical terminology and usage, including general medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital terms and abbreviations, and abstracting techniques.
  7. A minimum of two years' experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Mail.mil (OWA), Adobe PDF, and proficient with computer hardware and software (AHLTA, CCE, CHCS, MHS Genesis, and Essentris) to accomplish assigned tasks.
  8. Annual coding credentials must be maintained by the individual, including:
    1. American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC)
    2. Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
    3. Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
