Cenovus is seeking a Products Planner & Scheduler to join our Toledo Refinery team. This role is responsible for working with cross-functional Commercial, Marketing, and Logistics teams to schedule feasible daily product movements in and out of the refinery. Utilizing a deep understanding of refinery operations, the successful candidate will create a feasible long-term plan that accounts for changes in operational conditions, as well as fluctuations in market supply and product prices. The position also rotates and provides backfill support for other product scheduling roles.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Identify opportunities to improve margins through inventory optimization, logistics efficiencies, and market opportunities.
Monitor schedule execution and proactively resolve disruptions, delays, specification issues, and inventory imbalances.
Managing and optimizing distillate and NGL product inventories, including Jet fuel, finished diesel, intermediate distillates, Alky Feed, iC4, and Propylene.
Interfacing with third-party customers.
Scheduling pipeline shipments (barge, local pipelines, onsite transfers).
Own distillate maximization strategies including Plan vs. Actual and spec optimization.
Legally authorized to work in the US.
Bachelor’s Degree required, Chemical Engineering degree considered an asset.
8+ years of refinery or chemical plant experience is required; process engineering, transportation fuels marketing, and/or refining commercial experience is desirable.
