Job summary

Amazon Studios LLC is seeking a Production Workflow Architect to drive adoption of Studio-in-the-Cloud (SITC) cloud-based workflows across dailies, editorial, and color. You will educate partners and internal teams, validate workflows with vendors, and deploy Backlot: Create solutions to integrate local workflows with the cloud.

You will lead engagements with production and post leadership, onboard productions, and evangelize cloud production across AMS and the M&E industry, shaping the future

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent, or experience in a professional field or military
• Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients
• S peak, write, and read fluently in Spanish
• S peak, write, and read fluently in English
• Knowledge and experience with one or more leading industry content creation tools like Avid Media Composer, Avid NEXIS Blackmagic Resolve, Colorfront On-Set Dailies, Colorfront Transkoder, Adobe Creative Cloud

Responsibilities

• Help evangelize cloud production and drive thought leadership for AMS in the M&E industry.

Key job responsibilities

The AMS Production Workflow Architect (PWA) is responsible for driving adoption of Studio-in-the-Cloud (SITC) cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production and others). You accomplish this by educating customers, internal partners, and third party production companies about the SITC suite of creative workflows You work vendors to validate workflows and integrate local workflow with the cloud using Backlot: Create.

The PWA builds and deploys Backlot: Create workflows, acts as a primary contact for our internal stakeholders and end-customers. The PWA communicates gathers and communicates requirements and issues back to the product and engineering team. They work with customers remotely and in person.

You will be a subject matter expert on the Studio's workflows and post production creative workflows in general. You will anticipate future trends and identify applications of emerging technologies and provide information to Product and Engineering to reduce friction, eliminate waste, and support faster workflows. In addition you'll help drive thought leadership around the Studio's cloud-based media and entertainment workflows. You will deliver written and spoken communications to establish AMS as a leader among studios who are using the cloud to expand capabilities globally, enhance capabilities and ensure access to global talent.

A day in the life

You will lead engagements with management and post leadership at partner production and post companies, onboard productions, and help evangelize cloud production at the Studio and in the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry.

AMS Production & Post Technology deploys and supports the operation the Studio's cloud-based workflows (dailies, editorial, conform, color, mastering, remote production and others). We educate customers, internal partners, and third party production companies about the Studio's suite of creative workflows in order to accelerate adoption of our global, high-performance cloud-based creative tools in support of the Studio's productions.
