Continental Linen Services is seeking a Wash Aisle Team Member in Kalamazoo, MI to safely and efficiently process soiled linens and textiles through the wash and dry systems. You will help maintain production flow, quality, and MIOSHA safety standards.

The role involves moving items, loading washers/dryers, selecting wash formulas, and monitoring equipment. Training is provided; strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Responsabilités

• Move laundry bags into the wash aisle using proper equipment
• Load and unload commercial washers, dryers, and tunnel washers
• Select proper wash formulas based on product type
• Monitor machines and report malfunctions immediately
• Stage clean products for the next department
• Maintain production pace while ensuring quality standards
• Monitor and maintain automated chemical dispensing systems
• Replace chemical containers using required PPE
• Ensure chemicals are properly labeled and stored
• Follow Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and Hazard Communication procedures
• Report chemical leaks, spills, or low inventory immediately
• Maintain a clean work area to prevent slips, trips, and falls
• Perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance
• Hot and humid during summer months
• Exposure to steam, moisture, noise, and moving equipment
• Standing and walking for extended periods
• Push/pull industrial carts weighing 800+ lbs
• Lift 50–75 lbs occasionally
• Lift 20–30 lbs repetitively
• Stand for extended periods
• Accurately identify colors
• Ability to read, write, and count in English
