Job summary

OSI Group is seeking a Team Lead in Kokomo, IN to guide a production area in strict adherence to GMPs and quality standards. You will supervise staff, ensure accurate recordkeeping, and promote safety and efficiency.

The role requires leadership experience, industry knowledge, and the ability to work weekends. This is an on-site position with strong teamwork and compliance expectations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Leadership experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Experience in food processing industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the production area ensuring GMPs and safety standards.
• Monitor HACCP documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Ensure employees follow manufacturing procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with maintenance to improve OEE and machine reliability.
• Understand basic mechanical functions of machinery and troubleshoot.
• Communicate with plant manager on performance and issues.
• Support team development and adherence to policy.

Job description

The Team Lead must be able to perform the essential skills of the production area they are leading.

The Team Lead follows all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and works in a manner consistent with all corporate, regulatory, quality, and sanitation requirements.

Educational/Experience Requirements

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure all records are completed accurately
• Ensure all employees are following GMP’s
• Work in conjunction with maintenance to improve OEE

• Ensure team members follow manufacturing procedures and comply with quality requirements.
• Ensure the team is aware of day-to-day targets and responsibilities.

• Communicate closely with plant manager on employee performance
• Report issues/problems to immediate supervisor.
