Job Title

PRODUCTION TEAM LEAD

Reporting Structure

Reports to Operations Director/Production Manager

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor a team of production employees
• Monitor overall production line processes and ensure timely completion of orders
• Communicate and partner with the production supervisor on issues and concerns
• Identify staffing needs for the day and reassign employees between areas as necessary
• Prioritize orders based on staff availability and business needs
• Coordinate with production and warehouse departments to secure required products for the day
• Set up lines correctly with proper product, labeling and packaging information
• Acquire necessary materials, tools and products while ensuring safety and compliance
• Advocate for safety, reinforcing compliance with GMP, HACCP and food safety policies and reporting any safety incidents to the production supervisor
• Assign daily work areas to production employees and supervise work schedules
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet food safety guidelines and customer expectations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Alert maintenance to any machinery issues as needed
• Accurately complete hourly production documentation
• Follow and adapt to the daily production schedule, including changes during the shift
• Meet daily production standards and communicate quality issues regarding raw products to the production supervisor and Quality Assurance department
• Assist in training new hires and ensure they demonstrate competencies in all work areas
• Validate carton barcode scanning accuracy
• Perform other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in food manufacturing
• Strong leadership skills and ability to engage employees at all levels
• Ability to train and coach employees positively
• Works effectively under minimal supervision and high pressure
• Proficient with computers and iPad usage
• Basic reading proficiency in English; bilingual Spanish is an asset
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule and in multiple buildings

Working Conditions

• Operates in a noisy, wet, and cold environment at approximately 34–38°F

Physical Requirements

• Lifting up to 50+ pounds
• Ability to bend, squat, stand, walk, reach, push, and pull for 8–10 hours per day
• Capacity to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift

Compensation

Salary: $21.00 per hour
