Job summary

Elgin, IL-based Elite Staffing Inc. seeks a Production Worker/Operator to support liquids manufacturing. You will safely operate filling, capping, labeling and packaging equipment, load materials, monitor lines, and assist with changeovers while ensuring safety and quality.

The position is first shift with a $17.00/hr rate and transportation from Elgin to the work site in Waukegan, IL. Required: 1 year in manufacturing or production, ability to read instructions and SOPs, basic math, and strong

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• GMP/regulatory environment preferred (food/bev/pharma/consumer goods).
• Ability to read and follow work instructions, SOPs, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Basic math skills: counting, measuring, arithmetic operations.
• Commitment to safety and PPE compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate liquid filling, capping, labeling, induction sealing, coding and packaging equipment.
• Load bottles, caps, labels, cartons and packaging materials onto lines.
• Monitor equipment and report abnormalities to leadership.
• Assist with changeovers, line clearances, startups and shutdowns.
• Verify product codes, batch numbers, and packaging materials.
• Meet production output while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Stage raw materials and packaging supplies for production.
• Transfer ingredients and finished goods safely and efficiently.

Production Worker /Production Operator

Responsible for supporting liquids manufacturing and filling operations by safely operating equipment, handling materials, and packaging finished goods. This role works in a manufacturing environment that may involve exposure to liquid ingredients, fragrances, cleaning chemicals, solvents, and industrial processing equipment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing, distribution, assembly, or production environment
• Experience in a GMP regulated, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, personal care, consumer packaged goods, or contract manufacturing environment-preferred
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, SOP’s, quality standards and safety procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills including counting, measuring, addition, subtractions, multiplications, and division.
• Demonstrated commitment to personal and workplace safety with a strong awareness of the safety of oneself and others.
• Strong personal organization and accountability, including adherence to attendance expectations, start times, break schedules, and company policies.
• Ability to consistently comply with GMP and PPE requirements, including hair nets, beard nets, safety glasses, gloves, and safety footwear.
• Ability and willingness to follow verbal and written instructions and accept changing work assignments and production priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a disciplined and structured manufacturing environment.
• Strong teamwork skills with a commitment to supporting customer service levels, production goals, and team success.
• Flexibility to support multiple production lines or departments as operational needs require.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to continuous improvement

Job Duties:

• Operate liquid filling, capping, labeling, induction sealing, coding, and packaging equipment.
• Load bottles, caps, labels, cartons, and packaging materials onto production lines.
• Monitor equipment for proper operation and report abnormalities to leadership.
• Assist with product changeovers, line clearances, startups, and shutdowns.
• Verify product codes, batch numbers, lot numbers, labels, and packaging materials.
• Meet production output requirements while maintaining safety and quality standards.
• Stage raw materials and packaging supplies for production.
• Transfer ingredients, totes, containers, and finished goods safely and efficiently.
• Assist with tote transfers, ingredient additions, and line replenishment activities.
• Strength: o Frequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance

1st shift – 6:55 AM – 3:00 PM (35-minute paid lunch)

$17.00/hr
