Job summary

Elite Staffing Inc is seeking a Line Lead in Waukegan, IL to supervise basic and semi-manual production lines, monitor schedules, and communicate priorities in daily pre-shift meetings. This role emphasizes GMP adherence, safety and quality, while coaching operators and ensuring accurate documentation.

You will initiate line changeovers, support performance metrics, and drive attendance and behavior standards to maintain a productive team on site.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ experience as a lead or coordinator in a manufacturing environment.
• GMP knowledge and safety requirements.
• Familiarity with manual and semi-manual production processes.
• Ability to read production documents, safety requirements and work instructions.
• Basic production calculations.
• Understand production output, scrap, downtime and labor efficiency.
• Recognize common defects and process abnormalities.
• Coaching and conflict-resolution skills; foster accountability and a positive environment.
• Basic packaging equipment and manual assembly operations.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily activities of assigned manufacturing associates on basic manual or semi-manual production lines.
• Monitor production schedules and attain planned outputs.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate goals, safety topics and priorities.
• Ensure GMP, safety, quality and company policy compliance.
• Monitor line performance and report issues to supervisor.
• Complete production documentation accurately.
• Ensure proper startup, operation and shutdown of equipment.
• Support changeovers and line clearances.
• Train new operators on standard operating procedures.
• Reinforce attendance, performance and behavioral expectations.
• Provide coaching and feedback to employees.
• Support employee engagement activities.
