Position Summary:

Follow work order, work instructions/SOPs, perform duties to operate manufacturing machinery, inspect, package final product, and perform backup Lead Operator duties while adhering to Good Manufacturing/Documentation Practices standards.

Dept 57 - Packaging:

1. Following SAI safety procedures including PPE USE.
2. Apply lean 5s principles.
3. Ability to multitask.
4. Following scrap escalation process.
5. Feed product into machinery as directed by the Lead Operator.
6. Ensure no debris/contamination is on the product and materials.
7. Apply shipper and inner package labels as necessary.
8. Replenish cartons, cards, literature, blisters, PVC, and lid stock as needed.
9. Adjust and clear simple jams or contact Line Lead for complex jams.
10. Monitor the quality of the product being packaged for proper orientation, correct date code, and clear complete package.
11. Place the correct quantity of product into bags as specified on the work order and assembly specifications.
12. Weight-count the product to assure the correct count. Apply the stamp to the carton and write the badge number in the appropriate location on the carton.

Education

1. Minimum of High School Diploma (or GED equivalent)
2. Ability to complete Sunstar Departmental Training matrix and Training Checklist

Knowledge/Experience

1. Prior manufacturing experience preferred

1. Must be able to read, speak and comprehend written work instructions that are presented in English for the effective performance of the position.

The pay range for this position Production Worker II is $16.27 to $21.97. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location. This position is also eligible for a bonus depending on company performance.
