Position Summary

Working as a member of the Helm Department, the Helm builder is responsible for reading work orders and following instructions to assemble various helms. The role also involves performing visual inspections before and after assembly and maintaining a clean workspace.

There are two levels of Production employees at Barletta (Production I and Production II), differentiated based on skills, experience, and ability to work across multiple departments.

Candidates must have a strong work ethic and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a team-focused manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, climbing, squatting for 8+ hours, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to read prints and measuring devices
  • Good visual acuity for wire color coding and surface quality assessment
  • Ability to work with fiberglass
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and motivation to meet/exceed goals
  • Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
  • Reliability and good attendance
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and background screening
  • Support safety culture by adhering to safety protocols and wearing PPE
