8th Avenue Food & Provisions focuses on manufacturing and distributing high-quality food products to diverse markets.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Production Lead(s) & Supervisor, the Production Worker plays a key role in the production of private label and branded dried fruit and nut products, performing various duties on the production line.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Safely perform production line duties such as packaging, labeling, mixing, dumping, frying, roasting, etc.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Assist Line Operator(s) as needed.
• Monitor the line and product for discrepancies and report issues according to SOPs.
• Complete required documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a diverse environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting, remaining calm under stress.
• Adaptability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
• Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements

Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following with or without reasonable accommodations:

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Stand, bend, reach, walk, and work in high heat/humidity for 7+ hours per shift.
• Work in a dusty environment for 2+ hours per shift.
• Perform simple grasping tasks for 7+ hours.
