Job summary

Goodwill West Texas is hiring to clean, sort, tag and price donated goods for store presentation. You will operate the POS tagging system and attach tags to items while following safety rules.

No prior experience is required; training will cover item sorting, price setting, and warehouse procedures. The role may involve standing long hours, lifting, and weekend shifts as needed.

Job description

Position Summary

Clean and categorize donated goods to ready them for distribution and presentation in stores. Tag appropriate items using the POS tagging system.

• Must be able to follow verbal instructions
• Relate appropriately and positively with co‑workers
• Must be able to safely handle, lift and carry items

Responsibilities And Duties

• Examine items for defects and sort based on whether the item can be sold or must be discarded.
• Clean and perform final sort on various items.
• Appropriately price items based on condition, market value and Goodwill's pricing rules.
• Expertly and efficiently operate the tagger computer system. Print tags and attach to items using appropriate placement.
• Use appropriate containers, carts, barrels and racks to separate items.
• Follow safety protocols at all times and especially when using equipment in the warehouse.
• Safely operate equipment which you have been properly trained to use.
• Operate efficiently and stay on task to meet or exceed established goals.
• Maintain workspace in accordance with Goodwill procedures and safety protocols.
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures and practices.
