Job summary

General Mills in Geneva, IL is hiring for a Production Worker – Desserts to support on our 8-hour shifts dedicated to high-quality Betty Crocker desserts, Gushers, and Fruit Snacks. The starting pay is $19.87 per hour with additional $1.00 and $2.00 shift differentials for 2nd and 3rd shifts, respectively.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and able to communicate in English.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use digital tools for daily tasks.
• Forklift and/or Powered Industrial Vehicle certification preferred or required.

Responsibilities

• Support production lines by prepping areas, supplying products and/or materials as needed.
• Perform manual production and packaging activities, including placing product packaging into containers and rework as needed.
• Assist operators during bottlenecks, downtime, or as needed to maintain product flow and efficiency.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and/or equipment.
• Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment.
• Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives to enhance platform performance.
• Assist in training new employees.
