Job summary

Rinker Materials Career Center in Billings, MT is seeking a PRODUCTION WORKER (CONCRETE). You will split concrete mixing and pouring duties, operate mixers and conveyors, and help set up forms for concrete products used in stormwater and sanitary infrastructure.

Ideal candidates can read complex work orders, handle hand tools, and work outdoors. Prior manufacturing and forklift experience are preferred. The role requires lifting up to 50 lbs and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must lift/move objects up to 50 pounds frequently; heavier loads use forklift/crane.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and step up 20 inches.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and pouring concrete.
• Operating machinery and equipment such as concrete mixers and conveyors.
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas.
• Assisting with the transportation and placement of concrete forms and molds.
• Loading and unloading materials and supplies.
• Setting up forms in the manufacturing production process of concrete products.
• Handling and moving heavy construction materials.
• Following safety protocols and wearing protective gear.
• Adhering to quality control standards to ensure high-quality concrete products.
• Performing miscellaneous tasks as assigned by management.

We are looking for a PRODUCTION WORKER (CONCRETE) to join our BILLINGS, MT plant. As a general laborer with Rinker Materials, you will contribute to one of the nation’s largest manufacturers of reinforced concrete pipe, box, bridge, and other related infrastructure products for stormwater and sanitary applications.

About the Role:

• Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by management at any given time and in any given area

About You

We Require:

• Able to read and understand work orders and complex instructions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to work outdoors or in open air environment.
• Preferred – Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Preferred – Experience operating a forklift, especially an industrial forklift.
• Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds frequently. Over 50 pounds, a forklift or crane will be used. Must be able to push or pull cart with 80 pounds of force. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders. Must be able to step up 20 inches.
